After his success conducting L’Elisir d’Amore in Palermo and La Bohème at the Macerata Opera Festival in summer 2012, Paolo Arrivabeni returns to Liège, where he is Music Director since 2009. Paolo Arrivabeni is regularly invited by the major theaters and opera festivals such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Staatsoper in Berlin, the Grand Théâtre in Geneve, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Fenice in Venice, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris and many others. An expert of Italian Opera he is also interested in rare titles and composers such as Spontini and Mercadante. His vast repertoire includes also the great Russian and German composers.
Future plans: La Favorite at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris; Lucrezia Borgia and Il Turco in Italia at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich; La Traviata and Macbeth in Dresden; La Straniera and Moise et Pharaon in Marseille; Macbeth and Maria Stuarda at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. In Liège he will conduct: Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci, La Forza del Destino, I Due Foscari, Fidelio, Aida, La Cenerentola, Tosca.
